So i live with a group of other people, and we share an internet connection (via wireless router). But i get the following alert now and again… what does it mean? is one of my housemates trying to access my computer?
Zone Alarm Security alert –
The firewall has blocked Internet access to your computer [NetBIOS Session] from 192.xxx.xx.x [TCP Port 1537] [TCP Flag: S]

I have ADSL and have noticed my usage stats don’t stack up against how much i actually use, i would be lucky to download/upload 20gb a month but i’m consistently getting stats from my provider saying i’m using in excess of 45gb, i don’t have Wireless, just a NetComm 8 port ADSL modem. Is it possible for someone to connect to my PC and subvert my connection for their own use? I run a Windows 7 Desktop, an XP Desktop and an XP Laptop with the two XP units running Zone Alarm Security Suite and the Windows 7 unit running Mcafee Security Centre, if that makes any difference.
thanks in advance.
My account has a password which i believe is stored in the modem or modem files from when i initially set it up.
And Yes to the 2nd answer, my connection is on 24 hours a day unless i’m going away, then i turn off the modem until i return. Otherwise it’s always turned on.
